This was the first monthly rally organized by the Inter Church Youth executive in Port Vila. Since this was going to be the first one in 2005, the responsibility was on the executive to facilitate this one.

During it's executive meeting in January, comments were made regarding the rallies, that prayers should form a major part of this gatherings. This thinking is not new, because the vision of Youth Arise is to pray. And since the many young people who attend this rallies do not attend the Saturday all-night prayers, it was good to involve them in prayer in the rallies so they can begin to catch the vision for prayer.

God was so good in this rally, because the weather was just perfect, perfect for young people to sit out in the open, and many young people were in attendance. The message that day was delivered by the President of the Interchurch Youth, and his message was taken from Psalms 127:3-5, "Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward. As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth. Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." [KJV]. His message, to young people, was to consider themselves a blessing to their parents and to the church. And that as arrows, if they were going to fulfill their purposes in life, they had to be prepared - sharpened in the Word, straightened in the fires of discipline, and polished by the anointing and God's anointed leaders and fathers. This is so that if they were going to have maximum impact, they had to fly FAST with very high momentum, and STRAIGHT with the utmost precision and accuracy. Aim?.... maximum damage if the target is the enemy, and maximum blessings if it's the bull's eye of destiny and higher calling.

During prayer, seven teams were formed, needs were distributed, and the teams went to work. One could not believe how passionate this young people can be when they are set loose to pray - they prayed HARD and PASSIONATELY. Only eternity will reveal the impact of those innocent words uttered from the mouths of babes.

Looking forward to the next one in April, which will be in the faithful hands of the youth of the Apostolic church in Ohlen and Upper Room ministry. We hope you have been blessed by this stories and the photos above.
