The organization of the second level BSM was much better than the first in 2004. A committee was set up just to plan and organize this training. The good organization was probably because of the experience gained from 2004 and also because of the input of the 4-member team that went down to Honiara for the Reformers Convocation in November 2004. Publicity was very well done in advance, and there was much use of hi-tech equipment during the sessions.
A total of 120 participants graduated and received certificates, including several pastors and elders. One AOG pastor, pastor Michel Sokoliu, came all the way from Epi. There were also some law students from Emalus campus in attendance, as the training took place during their mid-semester break. Only about half of those who graduated went through the first level. For the other half, this was to be their first time. But during graduation, distinction was made evident on their certificates and the color of the gowns they wore: level two graduants wore the maroon gowns while level one graduants wore the purple gowns.
The training took place at the Sarabetu Church building, thanks to pastor Shem Tema and his body of leadership of the Church of Christ. There were three sessions daily: 8am-10am, 10:30am-12:30pm, and 6pm-9pm. Those who could not attend the day sessions could always catch up during the evening sessions. Ps Geoffry Alacky from Reigning Impact Ministry Honiara was the main speaker during this training.
The honorable minister for finance, Moana Kakases, was guest speaker during the graduation ceremony at the Dumbea Hall. He also presented the certificates to the graduants.
